It's about moods, conversations, shared discoveries and moments that stay with us for days afterwards.
Strolling along the cobbled streets, sitting over a beachside coffee or gazing at the evening lights of Motława Beach, it's easy to see why this city has inspired writers, artists and dreamers for centuries.
In the company of Noémi Papp
The special companion of the trip is Noémi Papp, a writer, journalist and communications expert who started her career at Nők Lapján and later worked as a writer for several women's magazines.
His favourite genre is the short story - those stories that can show whole destinies in a single moment.
His published volumes include:

A close friend once told him:

This trip will be a bit like that: more personal, more sensitive, more experiential.
Programme
Day 1 - Arrival at the Baltic coast
In the afternoon, we take a direct Wizzair flight from Budapest to Gdansk and transfer to the hotel.
We start the first evening with a dinner and a leisurely stroll together to get a first impression of this northern trading city.
The evening lights of the harbour, the historic streets and the proximity of the sea create a special atmosphere from the first hours.
Day 2 - Gdańsk and the magic of amber
Gdańsk and the Tri-City area is one of Poland's most unique and attractive regions on the Baltic coast. The city evokes both the atmosphere of a rich merchant past and the life of a modern, bustling port city. After breakfast, we set off on a full day of sightseeing, visiting some of Gdańsk's most beautiful historical sites:
- the impressive Armoury
- the elegant Golden Gate
- the famous Long Street
- the Neptune Fountain
- and the monumental Church of St Mary, one of the largest brick Gothic churches in the world
The city is at once elegant, historic and surprisingly liveable.
Every street is like the set of a novel.
On the trail of amber
After the sightseeing tour, lunch in a cosy downtown restaurant, where you can sample some of the best-known Polish cuisine and fresh fish dishes from the Baltic Sea.
After lunch, you will discover one of Gdańsk's most unique treasures, the amber. The city deservedly bears the title of „the golden capital of the north”: the fascinating exhibitions in the Amber Museum show the history, processing and artistic use of the resin, which is millions of years old. Strolling through the ornate gates and charming steps of Mariacka Street, you will find a myriad of small galleries and jewellery shops selling unique handmade
you can also buy amber jewellery.
Evening lights in the harbour
We end the day in the romantic atmosphere of Motława Beach.
In the old harbour stands the medieval crane (Żuraw), one of Gdańsk's best-known symbols, which served the city's maritime trade for centuries. In the evening lights, the riverside is a particularly enchanting sight, with cafés, restaurants and charming promenades to complete the experience.
Day 3 - Sopot and the Baltic Sea
Let's look at the sea! Is this where Andreas' boat ended up?
After breakfast, we check out and then we head to Sopot. Sopot, one of the Baltic's most popular holiday resorts, is not to be missed. With its famous promenade, sandy beach and one of the longest wooden piers in Europe, it offers a real holiday atmosphere. Sopot's elegant villas, cafés and seaside restaurants provide the perfect setting for a leisurely stroll or a coffee break. The fresh sea air, the sound of the waves and the special atmosphere of the Baltic Sea make the trip an unforgettable experience.
From the beach, a bus takes us to the airport, arriving back in Budapest in the late afternoon.
